Education Superintendent Cade Brumley will speak at June 5 Press Club

Cade Brumley, Louisiana Superintendent of Education, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, June 5. Brumley will discuss the state of our schools 2022-2023, a legislative review, and priority areas of early childhood education, literacy, math, reimagining high school and school choice.

RESET Louisiana’s Future group will speak at Press Club on May 22

Leaders of the Council for a Better Louisiana, the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana and the Committee of 100 for Economic Development will speak at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, May 22. They will present the latest recommendations for RESET Louisiana’s Future, a group collaboration that aims to educate the public and candidates for office ahead of the upcoming election on data and recommendations involving education, state finances, public safety and infrastructure. The organization was formed ahead of the 2019 elections.

Kevin Greene, an expert on copyright law and Black music, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, April 17. Greene, a law professor at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California, is also one of the featured speakers during the Baton Rouge Blues Festival.

State Treasurer John Schroder will talk at Press Club April 3

State Treasurer John Schroder will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, April 3. He will discuss treasury issues and how the treasury’s unclaimed property went from 39th to first in the nation. Schroder, treasurer since 2017, has entered the race to be the next governor.
