Morgan Lamandre, president and CEO of Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response (STAR), will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb. 6. She will discuss the state of sexual violence in Louisiana and provide a status of STAR services.

The Press Club of Baton Rouge will not meet on Monday, Jan. 16, because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Weekly luncheon meetings will resume on Jan. 23 at Drusilla Place Catering, which is located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Kelvin Jones, director of the LSU Tiger Marching Band, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Jan. 9. The band’s collaboration with Lake Charles musician Sean Ardoin and his band Kreole Rock and Soul, titled “Full Circle,” is in the running for a Grammy award for best regional roots album. This is the first time a marching band and a popular genre band have collaborated for a full album. The Grammy awards ceremony will be Feb. 5.
