Parish coroner to speak at Press Club June 26

William “Beau” Clark, M.D., East Baton Rouge Parish coroner, will speak to the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, June 26. He will talk about the opioid epidemic, its local impact, legislation being proposed to address the problem, and how the local medical community is using antidotes to help with overdoses. Press Club meets on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St., in the East and West Baton Rouge Room. Parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $13 for members and $17 for nonmembers. Cary Koch, executive director of the Louisiana Craft Brewers Guild, will speak to the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, June 19.
