The Baton Rouge Press Club will not meet Monday, Sept.3 in honor of Labor Day.
The Press Club will meet again on Monday, Sept 10.
Press Club meets on Mondays at De La Ronde Hall, which is located at 320 Third St. in downtown Baton Rouge.
Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and members of the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
Davis Rhorer, executive director of the Downtown Development District in Baton Rouge, will address the Press Club at noon Monday, Aug. 27.
Rhorer will discuss new housing developments, a planned 3-mile greenway, and other developments designed to attract more people to the downtown area.

Husband and Stein will discuss the status of the system’s search for a new director and the library’s various construction projects. Husband and Stein also will talk about library trends, resources and resources, such as they system’s digital historic newspapers.
