EBR District Attorney Hillar Moore will speak at Nov. 24 Press Club

East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Nov. 24. He will be discussing the budget shortfall of the city-parish after voters struck down Thrive EBR and how his office is affected.

Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at Drusilla Place Catering, which is located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal, is served at 12:15 p.m. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for non members. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and news reporters are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.


Louisiana Crisis Response System topic for Nov. 17 Press Club

She will talk about the Louisiana Crisis Response system, 988 and The Hub, which connects people to resources and can deploy mobile crisis response .

Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain to speak at Nov. 10 Press Club

Dr. Mike Strain, commissioner of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Nov. 10. He will talk about the status of Louisiana agriculture, forestry and aquaculture, including tariffs and current trade deals and their effects on Louisiana citizens.
