Louisiana Community and Technical College System President Richard Nelson will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, June 1. Nelson, who took over as president on Jan. 1, 2026, and oversees 12 community and technical colleges across the state, will give an update on the system.

U.S. Rep. Cleo Fields will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, May 4. He will discuss the implications of the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision, Louisiana v. Callais, and the Voting Rights Act.
