Whitney Hoffman Sayal, executive director of the Baton Rouge Downtown Development District, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, March 6. She will discuss new initiatives.

Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at Drusilla Place Catering, which is located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal served at 12:15 p.m., is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Gen. Russel Honoré will speak at Press Club on Feb. 27

Gen. Russel Honoré, retired commanding officer of the First U.S. Army and now leader of the GreenARMY, a coalition of environmental experts and advocates, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb. 27. He will discuss Louisiana’s abandoned gas and oil wells and the recent infusion of over $25 million in federal funding to the state for well-capping.

Bernie Pinsonat, the dean of Louisiana pollsters, is Monday’s speaker for the Press Club of Baton Rouge. Pinsonat assesses the field of candidates for the Oct. 14 primary election for governor and other statewide offices.

State Rep. Scott McKnight, R-Baton Rouge, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb. 13. He will talk about his campaign for state treasurer. An insurance executive, McKnight first joined the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2020.
