Greg Upton, executive director and associate research professor at the LSU Energy Institute, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Aug. 17. He will discuss the effects of the war in Iran on Louisiana’s petrochemical and energy industry.

Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at Drusilla Place Catering, which is located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal, costs $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The speaker begins at 12:15 p.m. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and news reporters are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer period. Adjournment is at 1 p.m.

Judge Don Johnson, Louisiana 19th Judicial District Court, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Aug. 10. He will reflect on his career and discuss how to make Baton Rouge a better and more just place.
