La. Primary Care Association official will discuss Medicaid funding issues at June 30 Press Club

Raegan A. Carter, director of Health Policy & Governmental Affairs at the Louisiana Primary Care Association, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, June 30. Carter will discuss the latest updates on Medicaid funding at the federal level and the challenges facing Louisiana’s Community Health Centers in the wake of any funding cuts.

Childhood obesity topic for June 23 Press Club

Melissa Martin, director of Greaux Healthy at Pennington Biomedical Research Center, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, June 23. She will discuss Greaux Healthy, an initiative by LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center in partnership with the state of Louisiana focused on preventing and treating childhood obesity.

Amanda Jones, Livingston Parish school librarian and founding member of Louisiana Citizens Against Censorship, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, June 16. She will speak about the organized effort to ban books written by or featuring members of minorities.
