Baton Rouge Press Club

Created in 1969, the Press Club of Baton Rouge promotes the news profession and provides opportunities for members of the press to communicate with each other, their sources and the general public.

Press Club will not meet until further notice

  The Press Club of Baton Rouge is temporarily suspending its schedule and will not be meeting because of Gov. John Bel Edwards’ plea for people to stay at home because of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please stay safe and support our valiant news media.

General Information

The Press Club meets at noon on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge in the East and West Baton Rouge Room. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m., the speaker goes on at 12:15 p.m. Lunch is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. The meeting adjourns at 1 p.m.

If you are interested in joining the Press Club, please fill out a membership application and mail it and the appropriate dues to the organization’s post office box.

The tentative schedule for Press Club is as follows: Chip Kline, executive assistant to the governor for coastal activities, on April 13; and Tom Galligan, interim LSU president, on April 27.
