Created in 1969, the Press Club of Baton Rouge promotes the news profession and provides opportunities for members of the press to communicate with each other, their sources and the general public.

General Information

The Press Club of Baton Rouge has weekly Monday luncheon meetings at Drusilla Catering Place with a sit-down meal served at 12:15 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The speaker goes on at 12:15 p.m., and the meetings are over at 1 p.m. Cost for the lunch is $25 for Press Club members and $30 for nonmembers.

Upcoming speakers: Nov. 25 — runoff candidate forum between Sharon Weston Broome and Sid Edwards. Press Club weekly Monday meetings will go through Dec. 16. We will resume weekly meetings on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025.
