Created in 1969, the Press Club of Baton Rouge promotes the news profession and provides opportunities for members of the press to communicate with each other, their sources and the general public.

Press Club will not meet Jan. 13 or 20, next meeting on Jan. 27

General Information

The Press Club meets at noon on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge in the East and West Baton Rouge Room. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m., the speaker goes on at 12:15 p.m. Lunch is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. The meeting adjourns at 1 p.m.

Press Club will not meet on Jan. 13 because of the governor’s inauguration or on Jan. 20 because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Adam Knapp, CEO and president of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, will speak on Jan. 27. He will give a review of last year’s accomplishments as well as talk about the year ahead.
