La. Inspector General Street, two others will speak at Press Club on Jan. 30

Louisiana Inspector General Stephen Street will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Jan. 30. He will be joined by New Orleans IG Ed Quatrevaux and Jefferson Parish IG David McClintock. They will discuss the value of inspectors general and the challenges they face. Press Club meets on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St., in the East and West Baton Rouge Room. Parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $13 for members and $17 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.


BRAC CEO Adam Knapp to speak at Press Club on Jan. 23

Adam Knapp, president and CEO of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Jan. 23. Knapp, who has been head of BRAC since 2008, will discuss BRAC’s new #thinkBR campaign. No Press Club meeting on Jan. 16

The Press Club of Baton Rouge will not meet on Monday, Jan. 16, because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The meetings will resume on Jan. 23 with speaker Adam Knapp, president and CEO of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber. OCD Director Forbes to speak at Press Club on Jan. 9

Pat Forbes, executive director of the Office of Community Development, will speak to the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Jan. 9.  He will discuss the state’s plan for spending flood-relief funding recently approved by Congress.
