House Speaker Phillip DeVillier and Senate President Cameron Henry will speak at March 2 Press Club

House Speaker Phillip DeVillier, R-Eunice, and Senate President Cameron Henry, R-Metairie, will be the guest speakers at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, March 2. They will discuss the 2026 regular legislative session, which begins March 9, and the issues and policies they anticipate will be the areas of focus during this year’s session.

Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at Drusilla Place Catering, which is located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal, costs $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Speakers begin at 12:15 p.m. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and reporters are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program. Adjournment is at 1 p.m.
