BESE President Ronnie Morris will speak at Press Club on March 4

Ronnie Morris, president of the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE), will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, March 4. He will speak about BESE turning 50 this year, where the board is now and next steps, and artificial intelligence.

Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at Drusilla Place Catering, located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal served at 12:15 p.m., is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb. 26. He will discuss his legislative agenda for addressing the state’s property insurance crisis.

The meeting of the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Feb. 19 has been canceled. Meetings will resume on Feb. 26 with guest speaker Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple.

The speaker for Feb. 26 is Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple, and the speaker for March 4 is Ronnie Morris, president of the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Daniel Erspamer, CEO of the Pelican Institute for Public Policy, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb. 12. He will discuss his organization’s legislative plans and new campaign on educational reform. The Pelican Institute educates the public about the benefits of individual liberty and free enterprise.
