The Press Club of Baton Rouge will not meet on Monday, Jan. 17, because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Weekly luncheon meetings will resume on Jan. 24 at the Drusilla Seafood Restaurant. Luke Mixon, candidate in the 2022 U.S. Senate election in which Republican John Kennedy is seeking a second term, will be the speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Jan. 10. Mixon, a Democrat from Bunkie, is a graduate of the Naval Academy and decorated veteran of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
