The representatives will discuss how the movement, modeled after Occupy Wall Street, is progressing in Louisiana’s capital city.

Scott will discuss his study “The Energy Sector: Still a Giant Economic Engine for the Louisiana Economy.” The Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association commissioned Scott to update his study, which looks at the energy sector’s economic impact on Louisiana.

Rougeou will discuss the upcoming vote on Constitutional Amendment No. 2, which, if passed, would apply a percentage of state surplus funds to retirement system debt. Also, Rougeou will respond to the Blueprint Louisiana suggestions to “re-engineer public retirement benefits.”
