Chairman of The Louisiana Bicentennial Commission Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré will speak at the Baton Rouge Press Club meeting at noon Monday, Jan. 10.

Honoré will discuss the commission’s preliminary plans to celebrate Louisiana’s 200th birthday.
Press Club meets on Mon-days at De La Ronde Hall, which is located at 320 Third St. in downtown Baton Rouge. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for non-members.

The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and members of the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.

Louisiana Department of Economic Development Secretary Stephen Moret will speak at the Baton Rouge Press Club meeting at noon Monday, Jan. 3.

Moret will discuss the state’s economic status in 2010 and what it looks like for 2011.
