Rep. Karen Carter Peterson, chair of the Louisiana Democratic Party, will speak at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb. 10. Peterson will discuss the status of the Louisiana Democratic Party, the Senate race involving Sen. Mary Landrieu, and the agenda for Democrats for the legislative session. RNC official to speak about campaign against Landrieu at Press Club Feb. 3

Matt Pinnell, director of state parties at the Republican National Committee,will speak at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb. 3. His topic is the state of the campaign against Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu and the launching of “Project: Geaux Red,” in which the RNC, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the state Republican Party will have volunteers in communities across the state campaigning against Landrieu. There will be no meeting of the Press Club on Dec. 23 or 30. We will start the new year on Jan. 6 with Adam Knapp, president and CEO of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber.
