Public Service Commissioner Davante Lewis will speak at March 23 Press Club

Public Service Commissioner Davante Lewis will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, March 23. Lewis represents Louisiana’s third district, which includes 10 parishes and the Baton Rouge and New Orleans metropolitan areas. The PSC regulates public utilities and sets the rates for electricity, natural gas, water and telecommunications, while also regulating transportation industries like waste haulers and towing. Lewis’s topic is “Affordability to the front: Data centers, load growth, and more.”

Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at Drusilla Place Catering, which is located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal, is served at 12:15 p.m. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and news reporters are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
