Press Club will not meet again in 2022, and will resume Jan. 9 with the director of the Grammy-nominated LSU marching band

The Press Club of Baton Rouge will not meet again in 2022. Meetings will resume on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023. The first speaker will be Kelvin Jones, director of the LSU Tiger Marching Band, which has been nominated for a Grammy award for the first time in its history.

Speakers to follow include Rick Wheat with Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services; Corey Wilson, BREC commissioner; Adam Knapp, BRAC CEO; and Gen. Russel Honoré.

Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at Drusilla Place Catering, located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal served at 12:15 p.m., is $25 for members (an increase from 2022) and $30 for nonmembers. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
