The Press Club of Baton Rouge will host a forum for candidates for State Senate District 15 on Monday, Oct. 7. Gary Chambers, who runs an African American-focused online publication, the Rouge Collection, is challenging incumbent Regina Barrow, who was the state representative for District 29 from 2005 to 2016 before being elected to the state senate. Both candidates are Democrats. The forum will begin at noon and conclude at 1 p.m. Press Club meets on Mondays in the East and West Baton Rouge Room at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St. Parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
