The Press Club of Baton Rouge has scheduled candidate forums for the next three Monday meetings. State treasurer candidates have been invited to the meeting on Sept. 25. The following Monday, Oct. 2, will feature the attorney general candidates. On Oct. 9, candidates for secretary of state will speak.
The election is Saturday, Oct. 14. Early voting begins Saturday, Sept. 30. The runoff election, if there is one, is Saturday, Nov. 18. Early voting for that election is Monday, Nov. 6.
Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at Drusilla Place Catering, located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal served at 12:15 p.m., is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and news reporters are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
