The Press Club of Baton Rouge will not meet on Monday, Sept. 7, because of the Labor Day holiday. Weekly luncheon meetings will resume on Sept. 14 with a candidate forum featuring the candidates for the mayor of Central: Lon Vicknair, Geno Guerico, Aaron Moak and D’Ann Wells. The Press Club meets at Drusilla Place Catering, located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the forum will begin at noon and conclude at 1 p.m.
