Mental health officials will speak at Press Club on July 18 at noon

Due to the events in Baton Rouge on Sunday, July 17, the Baton Rouge Press Club will host mental health officials from the Capital Area Human Services on the topic of “Responding to the Mental Health Issues of Our Community in Times of Crisis.” Featured speakers will be Dr. Jan Kasofsky, CAHS Executive Director, Dr. Anieda Udofa, M.D., psychiatrist and CAHS Medical Director, and Tonja Miles, CAHS Community Outreach Specialist. The Baton Rouge Press Club presentation will begin sharply at noon. Jay Dardenne, who had been scheduled to speak on that day, will be rescheduled. Press Club meets on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St., in the East and West Baton Rouge Room. Parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $13 for members and $17 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
