State Superintendent of Education John White and Secretary of Louisiana Economic Development Stephen Moret will address the Press Club at noon Monday, March 19.

White and Moret will discuss Gov. Bobby Jindal’s education reform package and its expected impact on Louisiana’s business climate and economic growth.

The Baton Rouge Press Club will not meet Monday, Feb. 20 because of the commencement of the 2012 regular legislative session.

Teepell ­­- who is now a partner in the political consulting firm OnMessage – will discuss education reform in Louisiana and the presidential election.

Monaghan will discuss Gov. Bobby Jindal’s recently released education plan to aid students falling behind to stay in school and raise the Louisiana graduation rate of 70.9 percent.

Greg Albrecht, the chief economist with the Louisiana Legislative Fiscal Office, will address the Press Club at noon Monday, Dec. 19.

Albrecht is responsible for forecasting the state’s major tax revenues, estimating the fiscal impact of tax legislation and providing general economic, tax and fiscal analysis for the Legislature.
