Leslie Jacobs to speak to Press Club Monday, April 25

Leslie Jacobs, an education reform advocate and former member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, is slated to speak at the Press Club of Baton Rouge’s meeting at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 25.
Jacobs will discuss post Hurricane Katrina education reforms in New Orleans, particularly how the charter schools are doing there versus charter schools in Baton Rouge and other parts of Louisiana.
Press Club meets on Mondays at De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St.
Lunch is $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
Monday’s presentation will start a half hour earlier than usual — 11:30 a.m. — because the regular legislative session begins Monday at 1 p.m.
The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and members of the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
