Kevin Davis, the director of the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP), will be the speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, July 13. Davis will discuss approaching the heart of hurricane activity, the 10th anniversary of Katrina and Rita and a recap of the Red River flooding events. Press Club meets on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel usually in the Iberville Room. For this meeting, however, the club will meet in the atrium outside the Iberville Room. Parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
