GOHSEP Director Tingle will speak at Press Club on July 18

Casey Tingle, director of the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP), will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, July 18. He will talk about what GOHSEP has learned from the past two years of storms (particularly from Hurricane Ida), changes they’ve made and what they’re focused on for the current hurricane season.

Press Club meets on Mondays in the ballroom at the Drusilla Seafood Restaurant, which is located at the Drusilla Shopping Center at Drusilla Drive and Jefferson Hwy. Lunch, which is a sit-down meal served at 12:15 p.m., is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and news reporters are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
