Gen. Clark will speak at Press Club on Nov. 17

General Wesley K. Clark, retired 4-star general in the U.S. Army and now chairman and CEO of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, will be the speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Nov. 17. He will discuss partisan politics and its threat to Louisiana for Lifeline, a cellphone service for low-income seniors, veterans and minorities connecting them to health, safety and employment opportunities. Press Club meets on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St. Parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. This meeting will be held in the East & West Baton Rouge Rooms, which is one set of rooms away from the Iberville Room, where meetings are usually held. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
