Six of the candidates seeking the office of Louisiana Secretary of State will speak to the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Oct. 8. Confirmed are Kyle Ardoin, Heather Cloud, A.G. Crowe, Rick Edmonds, Renee Fontenot Free and Julie Stokes. At the forum, which will be moderated, each candidate will have an opportunity to give comments and answer questions. Press Club meets on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St., in the East and West Baton Rouge Room. The event is free, and parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. For those who want to buy lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., the cost is $15 for members of the Press Club and $20 for nonmembers.
